In Al’s free time, he loves to golf, spend time with his dog George and remains on the quest to find the world’s best chicken parm. Al’s favorite team include the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia Phillies, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Andrew Wilson

Andrew Wilson

Andrew Wilson was born in Toronto, Canada, and he is a passionate Toronto sports fan, spending much of his free time following, watching and occasionally attending live sports matches. While he loves his Toronto teams, his biggest sports passion is the National Football League. Have spent his youth playing football, the NFL elicits all the emotions. Growing up, Andrew’s favourite player was Peyton Manning and, even since he left the Indianapolis Colts (and retired from the NFL), his NFL allegiance remains in Indiana. Andrew’s background does not come from journalism, but the numeric/statistical side of the sporting world. Graduating from the University of Guelph in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Commerce, Andrew continued his education at George Brown College in Toronto, taking a postgraduate degree in Analytics. During his time at George Brown College, Andrew began to link his passion for sports and flare with numbers to learn more and even tell a story. The first topic he ever wrote about was the greatest Monday Night Football fantasy performances. From there he was hooked and teamed up with Canada Sports Betting, contributing his first article, a Toronto Blue Jays season preview, in March of 2015. When it comes to betting, much of Andrew’s attention is on the four major North American leagues. However, when big events come around (such as March Madness, which he always books the first two days for) and the FIFA World Cup, he knows where to focus his money and energy.

Brandon relies on a comprehensive approach to handicapping that includes detailed study of past performance, a keen understanding of pace, and in-depth pedigree knowledge. Above all, Brandon believes in creating value and eliminating fringe players by finding the horse most likely to improve or excel under the timing and exact conditions of the race being studied.

Brent Sedo

Brent Sedo

Brent Sedo became hooked on horse racing and life on the backstretch when he was very young through a school friend whose father trained a couple horses at Assiniboia Downs. Together they would pool their money and make $2 quinella bets (the rules on underage betting at the track being a bit lax in those days) hoping to win enough to each buy a burger and fries and have enough left over for bus fare to get home. Since then he has attended races in five different countries on four different continents including Churchill Downs in Kentucky, Newmarket Race Course in England, Flemington Race Course in Australia, and the Hipidromo in Santiago, Chile, where fans bring their own wine and cheer every race like it’s the Kentucky Derby. He also saw the great Cigar run his very last race at the 1996 Breeders’ Cup at Woodbine in Toronto. Getting to the races at Saratoga in New York is on his “to-do” list for the summer of 2019. He studied journalism at university and has worked in print and online publishing as a writer and editor for more than 25 years.
